Families United in Newtown WAIVER and Code of Conduct:

Attending Families United in Newtown, Inc. (hereafter referred to as F.U.N.) meetings, the participants, parents, guardians, siblings, relatives, volunteers, and any other attendees do so at their own risk. Facilities used by F.U.N., Linda Jones, F.U.N., F.U.N. Board of Directors, National Honors Society Students, and Volunteers shall not be held liable for any and all loss, injury, or damage, or expense to a participant with his/her family in or about any program on the premises including, but not limited to, medical, and attorney’s fees whatsoever arising from any personal injury or accident in any F.U.N. meeting, the facility, or other occurrence on or about said facility, causing injury to any person or damage to any property whomsoever and whatsoever and will protect indemnify, and save and keep harmless the above cited entities to be protected from any and all claims arising out of the use of the aforesaid premises and are all held harmless. Participants, guardians, caregivers, and parents assume full responsibility for all injuries and damages which occur in or about any program(s) at any location during any F.U.N. meeting. He/she does hereby fully and forever release discharged hold harmless claims, demands, damages or rights of action, present or future resulting from any person’s participation in any programs at this facility. Participants, parents, guardians, caregivers, and other who accompany any participant agree to abide by the Code of Conduct.

F.U.N. Event Agreement:

To participate in a F.U.N. program event, all attendees must agree to the terms set forth in the Attendee Code of Conduct below.

Attendee Code of Conduct

As a F.U.N. program event attendee:

I will be respectful, truthful, and inclusive in my interactions with others.
I will recognize and celebrate the diversity of character and abilities of all
people.
I will conduct myself ethically, obey all laws, and act in good faith at all times.
I will abide by the rules, directives, and guidelines set forth by F.U.N. leaders,
volunteers, and mentors.
I will respect the decisions and requests made by FUN leaders, volunteers, or
mentors.
I will NOT harass, threaten, embarrass, or insult others.

I will NOT say or do anything that is harmful, abusive, racially, or ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually explicit, or objectionable.
I will NOT make inappropriate or unwanted physical, verbal, or sexual advances.

I have read and I understand F.U.N.’s Waiver and Code of Conduct. I agree to abide by the rules and associated actions described above and understand that I may be removed as a participant if I violate any of these rules.
